RECENT INVESTMENTS

Since the Foundation’s inception 14 years ago, the Foundation has invested in a wide variety of arts, education, health, human services and public benefit nonprofit agencies. In total, the Foundation has made 1189 grants to 375 local agencies totaling $50 million in cash grant investments. Additional loans and in-kind space grants add another $39 million in community giving.

2006 SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY GRANTS

During 2006, the Sobrato Family Foundation celebrated its 10th year of community grantmaking. To celebrate the Foundation’s achievements, the Trustees hosted an Anniversary Tribute to honor the work of the Foundation’s 125 current grantees. Surprise grants were awarded to each nonprofit in attendance ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 and in total $243,000 was distributed!
