Sobrato Family Foundation

The Board of the Sobrato Family Foundation (a private independent foundation) is governed by eight trustees, seven of which are Sobrato family members.

The Sobrato Family Foundation’s Executive Director leads the Foundation’s grantmaking programs and organizational operations that are supported by a Community Investments Associate. Additional management assistance is provided by Berliner – Cohen (Attorneys), Frank, Rimerman & Co. (Accountants), The Northern Trust Company (Investment Custodian) and select staff of The Sobrato Organization.

The Sobrato Family Foundation is a member of the Northern California Grantmakers Association, the Association of Small Foundation’s and The Council on Foundations and subscribes to their code of ethics.

The Board of the Sobrato Foundation (a public charity) is comprised of John A. Sobrato representing the Sobrato family and Peter Hero and Greg Avis representing the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
